Dreaming of grapes.

I get asked a lot what I'm going to major in, and what I might want to do when I grow up. I think most people are dissapointed when I answer that I don't really know what I want to major in, or that I have no idea how I'll spend my life. Conversations usually sound like this.

Someones parent: William, what are you studying again?
William: I'm on track for an econ major but I'm really not too sure about it.
Someones parent: Oh... (changes subject).

It's pretty frustrating not knowing if I'll even enjoy economics and wondering about what I want to do with my life. Truthfully, my dream job is to be a farmer, or to own a large vineyard in Napa. I guess I was presented with a choice of lifestyle when picking colleges. I had the choice of pursuing economics at Berkeley, which is a safe track for my life, or I had the opportunity of pursuing a fantasy to work towards an agricultural lifestyle by going to Davis and being a enology and viticulture major. I guess we sometimes put reality over our dreams. I'm positive that whatever I end up doing in my life will leave me happy, but I'll always wonder what life would be like had I pursued a dream of agriculture.
Don't you have a 'what if' in your life?

finals week activities

Jing, Alex, and I decided to clean our room yesterday. We started by just vacuuming our floor. This made our room look really clean by itself becuase our floor was really disgusting. Alex and I then decided to move cabinets around the room which took an hour or so. The end result is a super clean room with a stange arrangement of everything. There isn't a lot you can do with a double sized room that has been made into a triple.

Jing cleaned the fridge this morning and found some stuff that we had in there for a long time. Here is a picture of something he found.

the romance of room 511. and probably any other odd numbered room on the fifth floor and above.

I live in a small room on the fifth floor of a building in Unit 1. I guess the super expensive housing fee goes into paying for my view. Here are some pictures of sunset from my room.

concerts are fun

I kicked off finals week with an awesome sushi party where i got to eat for 15 mintues straight. During this time I ate about 30% of the nigiri tray and maybe 10% (?) of one the california roll/ tempura roll trays. Sushi party at 4:30 pm. Didnt even have to eat dinner that night.
A toast to sushi. A wonderful invention.

wasted time

Today i fufilled a dream that I have had since I was eight. I watched Street Fighter, the movie. This is probably one of the worst movies I have ever seen, and I can't tell if it is supposed to be funny or serious.
Let's see... In the movie E. Honda isnt Japanese. Guile isnt American. No one throws a fireball or does any of those special moves (except Guile. he does that crazy kick thing). Pretty bad story line also. M. Bison wants a 200 billion dollar ransom for a bunch of hostages, and the streetfighter cast goes and tries to save the day.
I recommend watching it for yourself even though it is absolutely horrible.
