Blue Tent Miner

Al Stinson lives near Nevada City on North Bloomfiled Road on a 240 acre property. His life consists of mining for gold, collecting junkyard trucks and cars, and drinking beer. He has a wife named Pat and a dog named Chipper. His beer of choice is Keystone Light. Here is a conversation someone had with him.

Andrew: So how much beer do you drink a day?
Al: About one or one and a half.
Andrew: Um... We've seen you drink about three since we have been here.
Al: Oh, twelve-packs.

Al's drinking actually doesn't seem to affect his work. So we need to get some earth to pan some gold. Al opens a beer and walks over to his backhoe and starts working on a hole. He finishes it in a few minutes and while on his truck, calls to his wife to bring him another beer. He is still operating an earthmover.
Al told us that he doesn't mine in the summer becuase it is too nice outside. During the winter he works for about three days and then gets drunk for the next six. Whenever he needs money he just goes into his mine and gets some gold.

an update on life.

So I haven't update this in a while because I really havent had much time. I'm just starting to realize that I have a ton of things going on in the short time before school ends. Here are some things that have been going on or have been happening.
Stat midterm, Philosophy essay due today, searching for apartments and signing the apartment lease today, econ midterm on thursday, some overnighter thing this weekend, film studies paper due on monday, EPS39 field trip next weekend from thursday to sunday. Some more stuff too. I swear that Berkeley makes you age faster.
Anyway, the weather has suddenly cleared up. Maybe enough for some slacklining and some rockclimbing (if only i had more time).
I intend on putting some more meaningful posts up here shortly, and I have some topics in mind already.
More later. Thanks for reading.

back to school

So today I decided to wake up at 6:50. I'm not too sure why. After brushing my teeth and getting dressed and packing my backpack, I decided it would be a good idea to take a nap. It was about 7:05. I have an 8:00 class. So I changed the time on my alarm clock and lounged out on my bed. A while later I look at my watch and it reads 8:05. I guess I never turned my alarm clock on, I just set the time. I tend to do that a lot lately.
